"We loved the cottage. Lots of room to spread out"
J, G and family, Sheffield

Twitter Corner House offers good quality, very comfortable self catering accommodation to Visit Wales 4 Star standard. It sleeps 4 in 3 bedrooms.

Mathry is a small rural hilltop village lying close to the coast between St David’s and Fishguard in north Pembrokeshire. There is a local village pub within 2 minutes walk of the cottage. Mathry is well placed for visiting all the attractions of the St David’s peninsula and all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

It is only 1.5 miles from Abercastle and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path. The beach and National Trust woods at Abermawr are a short drive away through the lanes, and the family friendly surfing beaches of Whitesands and Newgale can be reached in around 20 minutes.

A range of local shops and small supermarkets are a short drive away in away in both Fishguard and St David’s. Boat trips to see the seals, porpoises, birds and other wildlife are available from St David’s.

Corner House is a traditional Pembrokeshire cottage that has been refurbished to a high standard. It is ideal for families, couples or groups of friends. Ours is a dog friendly cottage.

Cosy in spring and autumn, with the log burner adding a warm glow to the living room, the ground floor is a particularly spacious place to relax after an active day out on the beach or the coast path at any time of year. Corner House Mathry makes an excellent base for exploring the North Pembrokeshire coast, the Preseli Hills and local walks from the village. Paths run from the village down to the coast path and the Strumble Shuttle bus service passes through the village, enabling one way walks along the coast path.

Corner House looks onto the grounds of the church in the heart of this quiet, hilltop village. The local pub the Farmers Arms is very popular and offers a warm welcome to visitors, good pub food - much of it homemade - and a well-kept range of beers. Our visitors' book is full of praise. There is a popular cafe in the village serving breakfasts, lunches and teas.
